McKinley focused on our Abilene Core Value of Cooperation in October! We had many students and staff members who were observed showing cooperation and the winners of this award go to A. Chambers in 2nd grade, H. O'Dell in 3rd grade, and Ms. A as our staff winner!

Our McKinley Site Council parents greeted our students on this Halloween morning!!! So many excited kids!

"It's No Sweat to Say No to Drugs!" Today was the start of Red Ribbon week!!


Today is the nationwide celebration of afterschool programs...."Lights on Afterschool"!! Our ABC program at McKinley celebrated with students expressing what they love most about ABC!

Resource Fair this week on Wednesday!

Miss Bette, Dickinson County Arts Council, came to McKinley ABC last week and had kids design pumpkins and scarecrows! Each student got to show off their unique pumpkin and say what it was supposed to be.





High 5's by AHS football players and Reading for Touchdowns in our classrooms this morning!! Great way to start our Friday morning at McKinley! Lots of integrity and respect shown by our high school athletes when they visit our younger students in our schools!









Today we celebrated Character Award winners at McKinley's end of quarter 1 Awards Assembly!! Congratulations to many hard working 2nd and 3rd graders!



McKinley is so appreciative of this generous donation from Holm Automotive to help support our students! We are blessed by so many businesses and organizations in Abilene that support our schools!

Fun event for your family!

Family Engagement Game night happened Friday at McKinley ABC and was so much fun!! Students and family members played lots of outside games, sidewalk chalk and enjoyed popsicles.








Such a fun ABC! Denise Liby and Mary Hildebrand, Ike Educators, showed McKinley ABC students games that Ike played as a kid. They included: marbles, dominoes, war and slap Jack.







Don't forget our Halloween Costume drive tomorrow at McKinley! Come pick out a free costume between 8:30-9:30am tomorrow morning or Friday afternoon from 12:45-2:00pm! Our 3rd grade McKouncil members will help you pick out a great costume!
