West's Country Mart put lots of smiles on our McKinley faces this morning!! Thank you for giving of your time to greet us!!!

McKinley Intermediate School would like to thank Lorie Flippo's family for the generous Memorial donation for our new swing in her name. This is a great addition to our playground and will benefit future students for years to come!

Let me introduce you to our 1st quarter McKinley McKouncil members: Cash Martin, Camdyn Milican, Gunner Bohannan, and Everette Seematter. These four students are showing their leadership skills already as 3rd graders by taking on new roles school-wide at McKinley and planning an upcoming Halloween Costume Drive for our community! They enjoyed donated Happy Meals by our local McDonald's for our first McKouncil meeting!

We have amazing police officers in Abilene who give of their time once a month to come and eat with our McKinley ticket winners! Our students worked hard to earn tickets to eat with them and our students loved it that they took time to play with them on our playground today!!

A great Friday at McKinley!! Being greeted this morning by Holm Automotive and our first Family Lunch Friday made this day pretty special!!

The PK-5 Back to School Carnival has been CANCELLED for tonight!!!

Our Back-To-School Carnival is being postponed to next Wednesday, Sept. 2nd at the AHS football field due to the upcoming weather forecast! We hope you can join us next week on Wednesday from 6-8pm for our PK-5 Carnival!! NO CARNIVAL TOMORROW, WED. AUG. 27th!!

We are thankful for these AHS football players who endured the heat yesterday for many hours to help spread out the wood chips on the McKinley playground!! Their servant hearts were appreciated!

We love these smiles!!! What a great night at the McKinley Back to School event! Only three more sleeps until school starts!!

Our PK-5 teachers have been devoted the past two days to days to our own learning time!! We have a great team of teachers who are passionate and ready to teach!

We are anxious to see our students and families tomorrow night at Kennedy, McKinley, and Eisenhower!

The McKinley Outdoor Classroom is coming together! Our Hammock Garden was created with funds from our McKouncil Coin Wars this past spring and it is now finished! The Dickinson County Community Foundation awarded McKinley a grant for the construction of this space! The benches and tables, made from recycled tires, were purchased with help from a KS Waste Tire Management grant as well as the DK County Community Foundation grant. We are excited to begin using this space this school year and are very appreciative of our two grants we received! #KeepItCleanKansas
