Congratulations to this week's AMS Students of the Week! This group includes students who exemplify all of our Five Star Values - respect in and out of the classroom, perseverance in their roles as students and as active members of sports, clubs, and activities, accountability for their own actions and as good role models for their peers, integrity for doing the right thing when no one is watching, and cooperation in all areas (and 2 of them are sisters, so that's saying a lot!). Excellent work, Longhorns!

Congratulations to our October Staff Member of the Month - Mr. Peterson!
Staff Member of the Month is voted on by students, and students are given the option of sharing why they believe their chosen staff member deserves recognition. Along with being kind and funny, these are some of the things students had to say about Mr. Peterson:
"Last year he was so helpful and willing to do anything to try and help me and everyone else out. He also made class very fun for everyone."
"Because whenever I need help with something he is patient with me."
"He is always ready to help a student out with their homework!"
We are so grateful to have Mr. Peterson as part of our Longhorn team!

Congratulations to this week's AMS Students of the Week! It was lovely to read the reason why teachers nominated this week's students - some were nominated for their excellent attitudes about school and learning; others were nominated because they simply embody the values we hold dear at AMS - respect, responsibility, and leadership; and others still were nominated because they are just amazing human beings. Whatever the reason, we are proud of you, Longhorns!

Congratulations to this week's AMS Students of the Week! Mr. Taylor is another new face at the middle school, and our last new certified staff member to share! He is joining us from the high school where he will continue to teach classes as well this year.

While Mrs. Whiteley has been seen in our building previously, this is her first official year here! She'll be at both the high school and the middle school teaching vocal music.
