📊 PreACT Results Coming Home Soon – Sophomore Families 📊

PreACT score reports will soon be sent home with 10th-grade students. These results are best viewed as a diagnostic “check-up”—not a final grade—designed to show whether your student is on track for college readiness and where they can continue to grow.

As you review the report together, here are some helpful ways to guide the conversation:

🔎 Look at the Benchmarks
The gray lines on the report show college readiness benchmarks. Meeting these suggests your student is on track for success in first-year college courses.

📈 Think Range, Not Exact Score
Scores (1–35) include a shaded range, which reflects an estimate of ability—not a single fixed number.

📚 Identify Strengths & Areas for Growth
Review scores in English, Math, Reading, and Science. Areas below benchmark can help guide future study, support, or tutoring.

🧭 Explore Career Interests
The interest inventory connects your student’s preferences (people, data, ideas, things) to potential career paths—great for starting conversations about the future.

💡 A Few Reminders
• There is no penalty for guessing, so scores reflect what students know.
• It’s still early—this is a great opportunity to build skills before taking the ACT.
