Mission Statement
To provide the information, support and encouragement parents need to help their children develop optimally during the crucial early years of life.
Who We Serve
Parents as Teachers is designed to assist all families with children from birth to age five (or kindergarten entry) in becoming their children’s first teachers. We are a voluntary program sponsored by USD 435 and provide services for families in our district at no charge.
Services
Personal Visits - Personal visits offer parents timely information about each stage of their child's development and learning.
Group Connections - Frequently scheduled get-togethers with other parents provide opportunities to gain new insights and share common interests.
Screenings - Periodic screenings help assess the overall development in language, social, intellect, motor and health.
Resource Networking - Networking links families with community resources and services beyond the scope of the PAT program.
